BROADWAY BOUND THEATER PROGRAM

BROADWAY SHORTIES
Do you love performing? Come  develop a character, learn lines, sing, dance, and act in a musical! No prior acting experience needed. In just one rehearsal per week, actors audition for roles, rehearse and perform in a condensed version of a fantastical musical. Students build confidence and develop important social skills though games and theater exercises.

Students learn to develop their voices as musical instruments through solo and choral singing, group vocal improvisation, warm-ups, exercises, and more.

ACTING CLASSES

INTRO TO IMPROV AND ACTING: Alice In Wonderland (grades 1–4)
Get acquainted with acting and improvisation! This class will introduce students with little or no experience to the magical world of theater
Tuesdays, March 26–May 28, from 7:00-9:00 PM
INTERMEDIATE IMPROV AND ACTING: Mystery! (grades 3-5)
Designed for intermediate students who want to continue honing their skills in acting and improvisation, this class will be based on the detective/murder mystery archetype.
Tuesdays, March 26–May 28 from 5:15–6:30 PM.
INTRO TO SHAKESPEARE / ADVANCED ACTING (grades 5+)
Designed for advanced students with previous experience, this class is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare featuring the harrowing play MACBETH.
Thursdays, March 28– May 30 from 5:15–6:30 PM
IMPROVISATIONAL ACTING for ADULTS with Virginia Musante
Learn improv through games, scenes, character work, and more games! Experience firsthand the importance of thinking on your feet and being “in the moment”, all in a friendly and safe environment!

MUSICAL THEATER DANCE CLASSES

INTRO TO JAZZ AND HIP-HOP
(grades 2–5)
Intro to Jazz and Hip-Hop provides the perfect welcome to these dance styles for students who are new, or who might need a refresher course.
Mondays, March 25 through May 27 from 5:00–6:00 PM.
INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATER DANCE/TAP
(grades 1–5)
Intro to Musical Theater and Tap provides the perfect welcome to these dance styles for students who are new, or who might need a refresher course. Focusing on vocabulary, warm-ups, across the floor combinations, and in-class choreographed routines, this class identifies the individual needs of students and challenges them, giving them the confidence and creativity to grow and develop as dance artists.
Mondays, March 25 through May 27 from 6:00–7:00 PM.
MY TWO LEFT FEET!
(Adults)
This class geared for the adult dancer/actor who wants to get moving again, wants to brush up on some technique or just have some fun. This class will use tap, swing, salsa, social dance, line dancing, and more to get you dancing all the way home! Based in the realm of fitness and fun, everyone is encourage to join in. No matter your level, this class is sure to make you boogie!
(Tap shoes not required)

MUSICAL THEATER DANCE
(grades 3–7)
Musical Theater Dance is geared toward students who have a handle on dance vocabulary and students who pick up choreography quickly. This class will focus on style, complex routines, and the individual needs of students, challenging them to push themselves. Perfect for those wishing to master dance call-backs!
