WORKSHOPS

CLOWN AND CIRCUS WORKSHOP

Get creative, daring and wacky in this fun two day weekend workshop that introduces students to the wonderful world of clowning and circus performance! Students will learn the basics to the ancient art of clown, juggling, tumbling, stilt-walking, globe-walking and more! No prior experience necessary.
Grades 3 and up!

BROADWAY SHORTIES
Do you like performing? Join us as you develop a character, learn lines, sing, dance, and act in a musical! No prior acting experience needed. In just one rehearsal per week, actors audition for roles, rehearse and perform in a condensed version of a fantastical musical. Students build confidence and develop important social skills though games and theater exercises.

Students learn to develop their voices as musical instruments through solo and choral singing, group vocal improvisation, warm-ups, exercises, and more.

BROADWAY BOOGIE
Designed to enhance skills and develop craft as a musical theater dancer, students build dance vocabulary, master complex routines, and learn to choreograph.

ACTING CLASSES

IMPROVISATIONAL ACTING for ADULTS with Virginia Musante
Learn improv through games, scenes, character work, and more games! Experience firsthand the importance of thinking on your feet and being “in the moment”, all in a friendly and safe environment!
Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm. Date & Time to be confirmed.

INTRO TO ACTING / IMPROV (Grades 1–4)
Get acquainted with acting and improvisation! This class will introduce students with little or no experience to the magical world of theater! Get to know your way around the stage and what it means to be an actor in a fun and supportive enviroment.
Tuesdays, January 15 through March 19 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.

INTERMEDIATE ACTING / IMPROV (Grades 4–7)
Designed for intermediate students who want to continue honing their skills in acting and improvisation. Material and improvisations will increase in difficulty and build upon introductory skills.
Tuesdays, January 15 through March 19 from 5:15 to 6:30 PM.
ADVANCED ACTING/IMPROV
(grades 8+ or by permission)

Students engage in both long-form and short-form improv activities to sharpen the mind, enhance listening skills, and improve collaboration and the ability to think and respond on the spot. Designed for advanced students to enhance and hone their skills. Previous acting experience is required.
